Im seeing some correlation between advertising as a sector and corporate finance. Programmatic reminds me of the early days of algo in banking, incredibly inefficient. The creative team remind me of structured product analysts with outstanding creative creating large profits or vice versa. Data analysis and psychographics influencing outcome and appreciate / depreciation in perceived value reminds me of behavioral finance #randomthoughts The below article is a good read on the latter!

It's an oldie but a goodie. "Publishers have literally taken the gun away from their feet and put it in their mouths." Comment regarding publishers site traffic and instant article nonsense. As Scott Galloway mentions Facebook and Google really are only interested in returning shareholder value, they couldn't care less about the quality of content being distributed on their platform. Good information should be hard to come by and expensive... word to the wise.
